Issaquah, WA - June 16th, 2003 - Inspiration Games, a division of Uberplay Entertainment LLC, announced today that they will publish The Settlers of Zarahemla, a game based on the very popular board game The Settlers of Catan™, which has sold over 3,000,000 copies worldwide. The game will be targeted towards the population of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise known as the Mormons.

The Settlers of Zarahemla is based on a people and a land of Zarahemla, as described in The Book of Mormon, a book of scripture used by the Mormons. As part of a tribe in ancient South America, players will help build settlements, cities and the temple of Zarahemla. Players will also need to learn to trade resources with other players as some resources will not be abundantly available to them. Additionally, they will need to beware of the Gadianton robber who will sneak down from his hideout and occupy their lands while stealing essential resources.

Release Dates

The Settlers of Zarahemla is for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and older. Playing time is 60-90 minutes. The Settlers of Zarahemla will be available in August at Deseret Book, BYU Bookstore, LDSLiving.com and other LDS book and gift stores. Suggested retail will be $37.95.
